The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a non-profit organization established in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles. Since then, we’ve become the largest association in the nation for Hispanics in STEM. Our mission is to empower the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development.
The purpose of SHPE Jr. is to provide youth with opportunities to participate in hands-on STEM activities, become educated about possible career paths, and become empowered and involved in the world of STEM as a Hispanic individual. At SHPE USF, our mission is to educate K12 students, parents, and schools across Tampa Bay about engineering and college. |
